Poor Audun. It's hard enough being a teenage dragon in love, but it's even harder when your heart belongs to a human. Even though Millie can turn into a dragon, this is hardly a match made in heaven, especially in the eyes of Audun's dragon family. Narrator Katherine Kellgren enhances Baker's lively premise. The story includes dialogue between many characters--human, dragon, even shrill nymphs--which she infuses with playful variety and insight into character. She also demonstrates a knack for deft pacing and an easy grasp of plot, no doubt earned through narrating the other books in the series. Kellgren's pleasure in storytelling results in a thoroughly enjoyable production. J.C.G. (c) AudioFile 2011, Portland, Maine
