White-winged Flufftails are so rare that there are less than 250 adults left. Most of them live in the wetlands of Adda Berga, Ethiopia, where they weave nests in the tall nest. Ground-nesting makes their eggs vulnerable to accidental smashing by cattle and other livestock, and a new generation of conservationists are learning how to protect the fragile nests from their animals through careful stewardship. Learn more about these rare birds and help spread the word about how to protect them and other endangered birds and support literacy in African languages at the same time!
